Remember, just like a butterfly, she too will spread her wings and fly some day.
Enjoy her caterpillar years.

News and Musings

The News-y Bits

I showed Kaylee how to put on a bracelet. She aced it! She knows what to do with a watch, too!

I got her a baby fork, and she’s a pro! She wants me to put stuff on the fork, but she’s really really good at putting it in her mouth! She puts it in her mouth like, lightening fast, and she’s accurate too! She hasn’t stabbed herself yet… Also, she's very very good about handing the fork back to me to reload :-)

Mmmmmmeatloaf!

Her new words: ‘cat’, and ‘pie’  She understands ‘cat’, but I think she just made the right sound for ‘pie’ because I asked her to say it while Grammy was making Thanksgiving pumpkin pie!

8th tooth…. One of the top back ones that has multiple points to break through. Lately she hadn’t been drinking her bottles very well (like 1-2oz out of the 6-7 oz offered!) and I’d been trying other ways of getting her to drink but with little luck. I found out this morning that it’s that silly tooth! Before, I had no idea why. Now I can just aim the bottle nipple away from that side of her mouth and it’s a non-issue. Phew!!!! I was getting worried about how little fluid she was getting for a couple days there!

Lately I have been very interested in old teacups. I can’t wait to throw Kaylee a teaparty birthday someday with little fancy sandwiches and real (mismatched) china!

She'll fit in to her generation just fine, as long as she isn't using outdated technology such as a not-Smart-phone! Le Gasp!

Scrounging for leftover pieces of food.... you'd think I didn't feed her! On the contrary, she eats so much more now that she uses a fork.

She knows how to feed herself the bottle, but she's not consistent about it. More often than not, when she tries to feed herself the formula is everywhere but where it's supposed to be!
'Hey you... watch this!'
Not quite....
There we go!

Having fun with Grampa!

The Musings

WoW kids books
Lately I have really been wanting to play WoW. I miss my computer that was capable of half-ass running it! This one just can’t. After I saw this link for What if Dr. Seuss wrote The Call of Cthulhu? , I thought, what would a WoW kid’s book look like?
My answers so far:
a) There’s an in-game object that can be found in Dalaran that actually is a kid’s book called The Worst Mage in Dalaran. I never saw it.
b) There’s a thread about it because some player’s kid got interested in WoW lore.

Hmmmmm... Good idea or bad idea?

What if the Disney Princesses had kids?
The Disney Princesses
Had a funny thought the other day… I saw an ad on the Disney channel for the official inaugeration of the Tangled princess into the Disney Princesses lineup and it made me think… what would the kids of the Disney princesses be like? In some of the movies, it's not like the princesses even knew their princes very well. I wonder, if their lives were real, would they have stayed together? And what would their kids be like?

So I searched and didn’t find many answers. Apparently Ariel had a kid named Melody, but I haven’t seen The Little Mermaid sequel yet. I found out that Disney isn’t doing any more princess movies for a while. And here’s an author’s take on ‘What if theDisney Princesses had mothers? Now I feel like finding all the Disney movies (and all the sequels, because the only sequels I ever watched were the Aladdin ones!) and pondering this question further…. So, any thoughts?

  1. I've watch Warcraft III storyline videos on youtube- they make for a great introduction into the lore of Warcraft and are decent to watch, or maybe it was some other site, I'll have to get you a link and get back to you! There are a ton of books in WoW, and some are fun to read. I'll have to try to find that Dalaran one =)
