Enjoy her caterpillar years.

Messy Kid Bootcamp, Day 4

Day 4: Edible Finger Painting

Tastiest paint ever!
I knew this one would be messy. And someone repeatedly informed me that she's too young for this. However, in the interest of giving Kaylee a new experience, she and I went forth with condensed milk painting! I set up a paper in the bathtub and mixed up the food colouring and condensed milk in an ice cube tray, set Kaylee in the tub and let her dip her little fingers in! It ended up on the tub, on her and in her mouth, and even though I tried to show her that she could put her fingers on the paper and leave a mark, she didn't touch the paper once. Oh well! It was an experience for both of us. She needed her bath today anyways! That was the part that upset her.
I wish I could say that she was doing that
painting, but no, that was my masterpiece!

Conclusion: Definitely messy. However, if you wash the condensed milk paint off with water right away when she's done, it comes off very easily! She's too young to make art this way, but she had a new, positive experience in the bathtub and she knows what condensed milk tastes like!
