Kaylee's first word!
Since she was born, Grammy, Grandpa, and myself have been asking Kaylee, "Can you say Mum?" or Mom or Mama. I've been thinking I've heard mumbles out of her mouth that sound suspiciously like 'Mummh' but on Monday I had no doubt! Grammy and I were at Shopper's Drug Mart and Kaylee was in her stroller moving her lips a bunch and eventually started saying 'Muumm.... UUUmmmm.... Mummmma'. I was SO HAPPY! Then yesterday I was taking some
video of her trying it again. Muuummm: That's me!!
And roll!
Another milestone: Today Kaylee rolled for the first time on her own! She was on her tummy and she rolled onto her back. I hugged her and got all excited, then put her back on her tummy so she could try again but that was not part of her plans! She must have been thinking, 'Why did you do that Mum?! I worked so hard to get onto my back!!'. She was not a happy camper!
Feedings
Or shall I say,
feedings. They're not going so well lately! We haven't had a feeding that we haven't had to take a break from due to her upset fits in a few days. Current theories are cramps (that come about especially while having a bottle but not in the hours before?), gassiness (this is definitely the case for some of the times, and is solved by having about 10 minutes of lying on her back with her feet up and stenching Mum out), and teething (which is also definitely the case sometimes, and is solved by baby Orajel + baby Advil). However, sometimes nothing works and I have to say that I honestly don't look forward to bottle times anymore. I hope solids go better... I'm REALLY looking forward to that! I know it's gonna be messy, but I can't wait to find out what she likes (or doesn't like)!

I was trying to take the wrapper off with her sitting on
my knee and she grabbed it and tried to eat it!
I didn't get a picture of that right away, so this is a
re-creation of it :) If she likes Creme Eggs, then
she's definitely my daughter! |
What a cute video! Got anymore? ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah, somewhere there's a few videos of her laughing, but I haven't rounded them all up yet and edited them. I will though :)
ReplyDeleteOmg love this update! I used to flip Ilia back to her tummy too after a roll and she'd freak! All that hard work for nothing! lol.
ReplyDeleteI CANT WAIT to hear some words mumble out!! How exciting for you!!
