Remember, just like a butterfly, she too will spread her wings and fly some day.
Enjoy her caterpillar years.

Sept 21 Appt

Today...
I saw the doctor, nothing very new to report. She's doing fine, and is still facing my right side instead of my back. When I left, he said "See you next week, or maybe sooner!"

Yesterday...
was more interesting/stressful. In the middle of the night I wasn't sure if I was leaking amniotic fluid. It would be a problem if I was because I'm group B streptococcus (GBS) positive, and if fluid can get out from around Kaylee, then the bacteria can get in to Kaylee and it can cause serious health issues for her as an infant. When my water breaks, I have to go to the hospital right away and be put on IV antibiotics for it. I decided to wait a while and see if I leaked more before bothering doctors in the middle of the night. Throughout the rest of the night there wasn't much else leaky-like, but was still worried in the morning so I called the hospital to ask what I should do. They suggested I come in and get the fluid tested to find out if it was amniotic fluid or not. So I did. And they couldn't tell for sure. They said I should go to my doctor and he'd do another test on it to see. So I did. And it wasn't. *phew!*

Also yesterday...
my friend Kristin had her baby girl! So although Kaylee isn't born yet, she has a buddy already! Welcome to the world, Claire Anne Greenwood. <3  Congrats to Kristin and Michael!

  1. Hey! Look at me! I made it on the computer! Win!
Thanks for the congrats! I've got some pictures up on Facebook, but I'll put more up on my blog this afternoon. Prepare yourself though - the birth story will be on there, and since you haven't delivered yet I don't want to scare you... :P
Is Kaylee ready to come out and play yet?

  2. The more I know, the less scared I'll be. Truthfully. So I'm off to read your blog now :)

I have no idea if she's ready to come out yet... I haven't felt anything like false labour yet and I can count the number of Braxton-Hicks I've had on one hand. However, I've been feeling some back-ache and period-like cramps and my doctor seems to think I'll see him sooner rather than later, so who knows?! For now though, I'm okay with her staying in there if she is!
