Hokay, so I can go get Kaylee's various growth measurements every week here without bugging my doctor for an appointment, so yesterday I got her week 2 measurements! She's up 5 oz in the last week, which is awesome! :) She hasn't gotten any taller though. Oh well, she's got lots of time! ;) She's now 7lbs10oz.
So last night, she had indigestion or colic. :( :( :( Her cries sounded so painful and there wasn't much I could do to help. Grammy was holding her and trying to soothe her when she got a cramp. We looked it up and apparently I can't have cow's milk products or chocolate while breastfeeding because they can make Kaylee feel like that. I'd had both milk and chocolate yesterday. I can deal with no chocolate, but I can't imagine not drinking milk! I'll have to get my calcium and Vitamin D somewhere else! So if you know of more foods that can cause colic or indigestion from being passed on through breastmilk, please let me know! I can't stand to hear Kaylee cry like that!!
Anyhoo, time to go feed the little munchkin! <3 And set up the stroller so we can finally go for a nice walk outside!!
I hear every baby is different when it comes to foods they can't tolerate. A few people at my LLL group say their babies can't handle cauliflower, one couldn't do really spicy foods. I think there was another one, I guess just have to eat and feed and see how she likes it! I find it so fascinating that what we eat flavours the milk. I actually didn't know cow milk was a no no, that'll be hard for me to give up too.
