Kindermusik

Kaylee's really enjoying Kindermusik! She's gone twice now and has another session on Monday. There are 9 other kids there ranging from ages 4 months to 17 months. Kaylee seems to be baby-friends with a girl named Keira. They're pretty cute when they get a chance to move around on their own, without being guided by parents through songs/actions. I enjoy Kindermusic too, there's so much singing that it feels a little bit like choir! The only downfalls so far are not to do with Kindermusic. I drive 45 minutes to get to Kindermusic when the class itself is 45 minutes. My driving time is twice as long as the class! AND it's in the 'hood' area of town and there's no parking. If I knew that before I bought the Groupon, I would NOT have bought the Groupon! But now that I know how much Kaylee and I enjoy it, I would be willing to pay full price to do Kindermusik in Moose Jaw at a music teacher's house, which is in a nice area of the city!

I haven't taken any pics at Kindermusik yet because I always feel awkward taking pics around other people's kids, like I'm some sort of creeper. I would be so cute to have a pic of Kaylee playing along with the other 3 mobile kiddos in the class though!

In other news,

• Kaylee hasn't been dancing as much
• She can drink from a straw! (Hello, Starbucks Light Strawberries & Cream Frappucino!)
• I accidentally missed her 12 month appointment and now it's not until mid October
• I'm not looking forward to immunizations on Monday
• Kaylee has a 'baby-boyfriend' - his name is Jaxton and he's such a sweet little guy! Hoping to have a playdate soon!
• Kaylee is capable of climbing stairs, but usually stops partway up, turns around, and takes a step of faith that I will catch her!!
• All the gates are up and it makes life so much easier! I'd be set if there were locks on the kitchen cabinets now...
• The diapers I've been getting have changed now (Pampers Cruisers) and they leak at night now... will be trying Huggies Little Movers when this box runs out!!
• Thinking about having 2 of Kaylee's bottles be cows milk and the other 2 still formula... but was waiting to talk to the doctor about it so I'll wait until then
• Kaylee has seen a few babies in the last couple days - her distant cousin Eli, then Jaxton yesterday, and sweet baby Elley today!
• Kaylee officially has an RESP now!
• IT'S KAYLEE'S BIRTHDAY TOMORROW! I'm pretty excited. I've been doing stuff all week for it. I had a little get together in one of the parks in Moose Jaw today (I'll save pics for Monday-ish) and it was really fun! More details Monday-ish.
